Well, this is our canyon view to the north, where after all the storms we are blessed often with a double rainbow. This was taken last year, but it is fairly common out here. Already this month, all the hills are turning green and the poppies are starting to emerge. Our neighbor just showed me this afternoon their latest acquisition: almost two dozen baby chicks! All are being kept in a container in their family room with a heat lamp warming their downy pre-feathers. Grace (8) and Christa (6) are all thrilled with the new additions to their farm. It is tempting to add more chickens to our flock, but I think I will wait another year to see how the process goes. In the meantime, we continue to enjoy Sweet Pea and Sable!

After the Storms
